grad school, politics, knitting and other meanderings. And not enough time for any of it.

ridicously cheesy movies I love to watch

okay... here's my confession of cheesy movies that if I see them on tv, I'll watch them. Maybe I'll be trendsetting and others will do this on their blog. This all started when I woke up this morning and turned on the tv. The news was boring so I flipped around and found the Lily Tomlin/Bette Midler movie "Big Business". This is as about a cheesy and lame as they come, but I enjoyed watching the last 45 minutes of it. other cheesy movies... -ghostbusters -the princess bride (this one kind of annoys me now- so I usually won't watch all of it if it is on) -short circuit ("number 5 is alive!") -weird science -adventures in baby sitting -romancing the stone -dirty dancing -batteries not included -flight of the navigator these seem to be mostly from the 80s and i remember my brother and I had a lot of them on tape. There are other movies from the 80s (and early 90s) I admit to loving, so I didn't put them on the cheesy list, although someone else might. Like Goonies, Wayne's World, Neverending Story, the Muppets Take Manhatten, Labyrinth... While I was thinking of this list I remembered Garbage Pail Kids and how much I loved them. I had the coolest GPK PJs...
