a foggy coastal Maine day and I'm not there

friends of ours are visiting Maine this week. We called them this morning (because we are house sitting for them and their water-softener was spewing water all over their basement this morning) and asked them how they are enjoying their first visit to coastal Maine. They sounded said it was foggy and gloomy . They are staying in an inn right on the ocean and I guess they are disappointed they can't see the ocean. Well, personally I can't think of a better kind of day on the coast. Heavy fog, salty air and fog horns sound so wonderful to me. My hairdresser took her family on vacation in Maine last month. They drove up the coast and loved every minute of it. Someday she wants a summer home there. Me too- I think Popham or Georgetown would be my choice for vacation spots. All this does my advisor read my blog stuff has been fun- but it turns out she most likely hasn't. After exchanging a few more emails it seems she was just genuinely concerned. I couldn't ask for a better advisor. I know that Dorotha would vote for the "I am your advisor and I read your blog" choice in the poll below. I don't have anyway of knowing that Dorotha is the one who did so, but it makes complete sense to me. I could also guess who voted that they had sent my advisor my blog address... oh the silly friends I have. (I am of course totally ignoring any possibility of serious responses on the poll). In other news- my lush stuff is just 5 days away from arriving in my bathtub! I am tracking it daily on the ups site. Very exciting.
