grad school, politics, knitting and other meanderings. And not enough time for any of it.

I forgot all about that show

Alf. they had a mini marathon of this last night on TV Land. I could only stand one episode. My brother used to have a stuffed Alf doll that said "hey no problem". I was also struck by how ridiculous and stupid the laugh track was on that show. That was making Jo and I crack up more than the show itself. Last night I had a dream that somehow my neck and head hurt because I had climbed to Knife's Edge of Mt. Katahdin the day before. Somehow in the dream that explained my neck pain even though I think if I were climbing Mt. Katahdin (which is my favorite mountain to climb in the middle of Maine) all my neck pain and stress would melt away. Also in my dream I was heading to the beach on some remote coast of Maine inlet and I had forgotten my sunscreen. I was going boating with my brother and some friends. So, we stopped at a Ames (an old department store chain in New England) and I tried to find sunscreen. All in all this was a strange dream, but it made me think I would really love to do some hiking. Although the only "high" place to "climb" up here is Devil's Lake. Its pretty, but not quite Mt Katahdin. Yesterday I moved my appointment with the Maxillofacial doctor up to tomorrow morning. I have been having not only neck pain, but some numbness and stuff in my face. I didn't want to blog about it, and I didn't even tell my mom, because it kind of freaks me out. I'm sure it is nothing but complications from dislocating my jaw awhile back. Today I have to figure out where I get a referral from. And I miss hanging out with my little sister (not the awesome Maryann, but my little through Big Brothers Big Sisters). We haven't hung out since May as her phone has been disconnected for a long time and I think they might have moved. We had plans to so a lot of hiking this summer. Maybe I'll drive by her place again today and see if she is there. I also want to take her to see Fahrenheit 9/11 too. I wonder what is going on in her summer-before-high-school world...
