grad school, politics, knitting and other meanderings. And not enough time for any of it.

keeping my fingers crossed...

that things work out for Jo with this record deal- there are a lot of technical recording stuff she is trying to work out now. Provided everything goes well this will mean really serious international distribution for her which would be awesome! Not much else in the way of excitement to blog. I bought a new office chair - something we really didn't have the money for but something that I desperately needed. I shudder to think of the unnecessary pain I was causing myself by sitting in a 1950s era UW metal chair for 8+ hours a day. The new one is so much more comfortable! It is not purple like in the picture- rather a light blue color. Yeah, it is kind of ugly- but not as ugly as office chairs can be. It's rainy and cold here and I feel kind of *blah*. I think I will spend some time knitting today (working on my peace fleece cardigan) and also working on work-related stuff. I still have to read through and absorb all my advisor's comments on my last draft. I read through them quickly once on the computer but now I have them printed so I can really see the stack of stuff for me to work on. Maybe I'll try to tackle some of that today too. Or maybe I'll just let it sit for a while longer while I get some other work done.
