grad school, politics, knitting and other meanderings. And not enough time for any of it.

looking back now on the day

Wow. looking back now on blog posting buring my drug-induced high this afternoon I am: (1) shocked that I ordered $60 worth of LUSH stuff. YIKES. I did just get a new credit card but the point was not to start charging willy-nilly on it! (2) surprised that I let loose and went on such a long winded rant about my grade in that seminar. It did come as a shock when I checked my grades this afternoon online, but I really didn't think I had written that much about it! And I think Ang's advice is right on (as Ang's advice always is). I'll print out the correspondences with said prof and bring them into the soc office to see what can be done. So, my afternoon on a heavy-duty pain killer was mostly pain free, but I felt out of it and got no work done. We went out for ice cream tonight, and watched some Andy Griffith and Leave it to Beaver. We also watched Larry King Live with Kerry and his wife. A good evening of programming but those Zimbrick Auto commercials have to go! The song is so annoyingly catchy. And those lyrics- Jeez! "for that zimbrick experience on the east side..." Actually most of the local commercials here are so funny that I tried to google local television advertising companies to find out who is responsible. Remember those Genesis Painting commercials with the painters doing cartwheels all over the house? Yikes. Or that really irritating furniture store commercial "the way you do the way you do-- the way you do. the way you do". Ugh. Come on, you folks in Madison must know what I mean!
