grad school, politics, knitting and other meanderings. And not enough time for any of it.

off the phone and now mowing...

Jo is off of her 3 days of phone calls and is now mowing the lawn. I hope all this music stuff works out for her. Turns out she has to re-record some of the material and that will cost $$$. Then there are other messy technical details about DA-88s, DATs, 4-tracks etc... The new record label will do all the mixing/producing and distribute her far and wide, but getting to that point won't be easy. The label is putting one of her already finished tracks onto their new sampler so that will be distributed soon.Even if she is feeling discouraged right now, I know I'll soon be married to an international rock star! I don't feel like blogging today. I am doing some of my PA work- which right now is surfing the internet for links to transnational feminist organizations. Who knew there were like 10 million of these? And some of them are so poorly designed (kind of like the covers of many gender/feminist sociology books) it cracks me up. I know people here in Madison who like summer will think this is freakish of me, but I am happy it is cold and windy and drab today. It means I get to wear my hooded sweater (the one I made that there is a photo of me in somewhere on this blog). And it means I can enjoy some hot chai while I work.
