paper clips and staples

I'm a little better now from my state in my last posting. my good friend reba mentioned on her blog that I should hang in there. I do have prelim hell to look forward to for this January and next August. AND Reba and I have stats this semester to look forward to. Fun times ahead... I think if Reba made her intro to soc students blog that would be awesome. I would totally do this. (if my damned stats grade didn't keep me from getting a TA position). You could use it not only as a discussion/reading reaction place. BUT it could make for some interesting discussions into implications of the internet on society and social interaction... I think it would be cool. What really helped cheer me up is going to Staples. I needed printer ink so I spent an hour or so wandering around the store- up and down every aisle. I picked up a few things we needed, but mostly I just LOVE office supplies. I like to see the different kinds of post-its, the rows of notebooks, the million kinds of pens etc... It calms me down big time. There weren't many people there, it being the 4th and all, so one of the employees kept asking me if I needed help finding something. I was wandering, but I don't think I looked suspicious or anything. I replied to the girl "no- I just like looking at all the office supplies". She looked at me really funny and then just left me alone. I always say weird things to Staples employees. Last summer I made an employee look all over for the very specific kind of paper clip I wanted. They didn't have them so I ended up buying smooth (non-skid) paper clips instead. Every time I open my desk drawer I am disappointed in them. The employee really didn't understand how important it was.
