sack of cement

I was watching cspan today- they showed the "future of progressives" meeting (in memory of Wellstone) in Boston and there were great speakers there with interesting things to say. Speakers included Barbara Lee, the head of the steelworkers union, Al Franken, Francis Fox-Piven and Jim Hightower. If you can catch a rerun of it, I highly recommend checking it out. The best quote came from Jim Hightower: "I don't care if Kerry is a sack of cement, we have to carry him to the white house so that we can begin to further our progressive cause". That's really what it is all about. exactly.
