knit me more time...

only 4 more days!

I just can not believe this election is so soon. I can barely stand the anxiety. I signed up to call people at the Democratic Headquarters on Tuesday morning and Monday evening to hopefully prevent me from starting to drink that early. I'll save the heavy drinking for election night. I really can barely stand it, did I say that? If we have to have another 4 years of this fuck up p-resident I will probably need some combination of pharmacuticals/alcohol/therapy to get though it. I will be immobilized with sadness and anger. I'll wear a black armband every day. I'll plan my move to Canada. I'll join in impeachment efforts. But for now I can't think past Tuesday night. Here are my election evening plans. We could have joined other friends who are watching the results come in, but I have to be at home where I can destroy my own TV or pass out drunk on my own floor. I want to be home when (crossing my fingers) Bush gives his concession speech so I can run out in the street and party with my very pro-Kerry neighbors. I also need to surround myself with many forms of media. Here is what I will need on election night: - beer (I am thinking Newcastle will do nicely) - tequila for when things look bad - munchy food- the junkier the better - my talking Bush doll. (No matter whether or not Bush himself survives election night, my Bush doll will likely not) - Kleenex. (No matter what, I will be crying.) - Both our TVs- with different news stations. - We will probably have the Daily Show on one of those for some kind of humor. - our radio tuned to Air America - my ibook with browser tabs open to the du and smirking chimp. Can we absorb all this media, while drinking and eating? The other option would be going to the movies to escape the madness but I don't think I could stand missing anything.
